HOW CAN I CREATE COMMUNICATION IN THE CLASS ROOM?

INTERACTIVE STORY



 Use imagination: 

     Use imagination: eyes close, relaxing, sleeping position, follow a voice.

Character choosing: Teacher’s pick use of prompts, teacher works as a narrator, teacher controls plot.

Students follow the narration: by acting and performing, teacher takes students control.

With those kind of activities the teacher achieves: Get to know him/ her students
Students support.

Moral: in this case differences were good.

Objectives: All students were involved,students use their second language, students improvise to communicate.



   Activity’s description:


At the beginning, teacher started the class with a relaxing section in which his students were asked to be relaxed and closed their eyes. Then the teacher  described a wonderful purple landscape. ‘’Everything was purple, the sea, the sand, and the sky. Even you and me’’.

Secondly, the teacher asked to students to open their eyes in order to start the activity. Besides, teacher selected one student and gave him one piece of paper with an animal on it. After that, the teacher  narrated a story in which a pink elephant was one of the main characters.

Moreover, the teacher chose a female student (she was a bee) who feel in love with the elephant. They were different, it means, they have a difference in their skin, shape, measure and thinking; however they knew they loved each other. After some months , they decided to marry. In fact, the elephant wanted to ask bee’s mother blessing who was the queen of land purple.   

Next, the purple queen said that if wanted to marry her, he had to find some special things.
The pink elephant did not know what to do because he had to count all the stars in the sky, a yellow flower in the purple forest and finally looking for mystic green rock , so he asked his friends for help (all students). And they happily accepted; as result of working together, they found all the special things that the purple queen commanded. 

Meanwhile the purple bee met a fairy called Rose Ann (another student) who explained her that love is stronger than differences. However, the bee wanted to try a spell which help her to be pink as her boyfriend. As result for a long talk, the fairy decided to become her in a pink horse as strong, big and pink than his boyfriend the elephant.

Ironically the elephant wished the same thing; when he escaped from the purple castle after being arrested, he also met Fairy Ross Ann during his hiking. He wanted to be small, brave and purple. Rose Ann said love is stronger than differences. But he insisted on becoming it.

At the end, Rose Ann accepted, she become him in the most beautiful butterfly in the purple land.When the young lovers finally met again, they realized that they have changed, such as how the other was. Their love always be strong as they were, they finally understood that no matter how they look, they will still in love with the other. 

Love is unique as you are. Love means to accept differences. Stay different and love all.
